I know how difficult is has been to get onto a course to complete/update your Module 10, 1st Response training, so I am delighted that Mike George, Scout Team Leader at 1st Hertford, has completed the training to teach this course that covers all the requirements for Module 10. Peak Assault Fri 17th (6:30pm) to Sun 19th Oct (9:00pm)
Peak Assault is a navigation competition for teams of young people and adults in an upland area of England or Wales. The location is traditionally kept a secret, but in the past Peak Assault has visited many upland areas including: The Peak District, The Lake District, North Wales, Dartmoor, Exmoor and the Brecon Beacons. The competition takes place over a weekend and teams must navigate to checkpoints around the course to collect as many points as possible throughout Saturday and again on Sunday morning. Peak Assault has been taking place almost every year since 1968 and attracts more than 300 people in over 60 teams. More information in the booking link below. |

Our 3rd annual Away Day. There has been a concensus that having time in Sections across Groups would be useful - but we can only do this if all Sections are well represented. Registration will open in the Autumn! |
St George's Day Parade and Celebration Sun 26th Apr 2026 (1:00pm - 3:30pm) Where: Hartham Common > Castle Grounds, Hertford
Hertford Scouts would like to invite you to join us in celebrating St George’s Day, the patron Saint of Scouting. This year’s celebration will take place with the usual parade through Hertford followed by a celebration event. Young People, Leaders, parents, friends and everybody interested are welcome to join us at this event, being part of the local community to which Hertford Scouts and Guides belong. During the celebration Scouts and Guides will be renewing their promises, followed by community camp fire songs led by Splodge.Find your section leader on the path by the skate park on Hartham Common at 1:00pm ready to depart at 1:20pm.
Celebration in the Castle grounds from 2:00pm. Girlguiding will be providing a fundraising refreshments stall! |
